(Lebanon, OH) - Volunteers gathered in Lebanon on July 25 to build 14 beds for children in need in partnership with the Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities (WCBDD), Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), and Skidz Reimagined.

Skidz Reimagined is a Lebanon, Ohio-based woodworking program developed by Residential Community Care (RCC) that employs adults with developmental disabilities to make custom, handmade items.

The local organizations partnered together to build and assemble beds, gathering over one dozen people for a day of woodworking. After learning the basics, volunteers separated into work stations including cutting, drilling, stamping, wood coating, and loading.

After a long day of hard work, volunteers learned new skills and made 14 beds for local children in need. The organizations plan to partner again for a future event.
