(Lebanon, OH) – Community members are invited to experience the joy of adaptive cycling when 3Wheel Therapy visits the north parking lot of the Countryside YMCA in Lebanon from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 1, 2026, to showcase its new adaptive tricycles.
3Wheel Therapy became a North Carolina 501c3 non-profit organization in 2022. A second chapter opened in Summit County, Ohio, in 2024. This year, the organization is unveiling their third chapter in Dayton and Warren County, Ohio.
The cornerstone of 3Wheel Therapy is its adaptive tandem tricycles, which are three-wheeled, electric-assist bikes that allow a passenger to recline comfortably on the front of the bicycle while a “pilot” pedals the bike, steers, and provides support. The adaptive tricycle allows individuals with physical disabilities to safely experience cycling and enjoy outdoor recreation.
3Wheel Therapy is excited to share more information about the organization, display their new tricycles, and provide rides on a paved trail. Ride duration is dependent on the number of attendees. Attendees should expect to complete a waiver before their ride.
Please RSVP by emailing 3Wheel Therapy at daytonoh@3wheeltherapy.org.

Fundraising
3Wheel Therapy Board Member Patrick Bendel said the local chapter of 3Wheel Therapy is actively collecting donations to fund the purchase of the tricycles, which are imported from the Netherlands and require specialized maintenance.

3Wheel Therapy is seeking volunteers to "pilot" (pedal) the tricycle, provide support as a co-pilot alongside the pilot and our rider, and support 3Wheel Therapy on and off the trails.
The organization is seeking volunteers who believe everyone deserves to ride, are passionate about providing inclusive experiences, and love the outdoors. Most rides are scheduled weekday mornings and occasional Saturdays.
3Wheel Therapy volunteers must:
